If you find a locked door it needs smashing or a key so feel free to bash all locked doors to see what is required.
Also Rogues won't be doing any lock picking or trap removal because it's not necessary. Clerics will have an issue with spells as they are changed, blame the Favoured Soul it's her fault. You can be any class but your companions will be a Bard, Favoured Soul and a Paladin so it's probably best not to duplicate them. There is nothing to stop you playing as any race but the story won't make sense. This is a campaign for new Human or Half Elf characters that will take you from level 1 to 18. You wake up after a night that went horribly wrong and discover what happens when the baddies win !
